We're excited to share that UCAN is partnering with Joyned, a messaging platform designed to help communities stay connected in a safe and secure online space.
At UCAN, we know how valuable it is to be in touch with others, who understand the challenges and joys of church administration - our Facebook forum is a testament to that! Now, we're delighted to offer you even more ways to connect and collaborate through Joyned.
Joyned is a messaging platform built with safeguarding and GDPR in mind. Unlike many popular messaging apps and social media platforms, it does not sell or share your data or target you with advertising. What sets Joyned even further apart is that it doesn't share your personal information (beyond your name) with other users in a group, and it doesn't allow private messaging. This creates a safer, more transparent environment - ideal for church and charity settings.
Joyned integrates seamlessly with ChurchSuite. Whilst you don't need ChurchSuite to use Joyned, the integration makes it quick and simple to create spaces for UCAN members to connect.

What's next?
Over the coming weeks and months, we'll be gradually rolling out Joyned across the network as follows:
Local groups – UCAN Local Group Leaders will soon have the option to create an online community to keep in touch between in-person gatherings.
Training cohorts – Future training groups will be offered a dedicated Joyned space to support peer learning and connection.
Events – Attending a UCAN conference? You'll receive an invitation soon to join a Joyned community so you can connect with others before, during and after the event.
UCAN news – Want to stay in the loop? Click here to join our broadcast-only channel and receive the latest UCAN updates direct to your device.
We're looking forward to seeing how Joyned can enhance connection across the network, and as the app continues to develop, we hope to explore even more ways to make the most of this new opportunity together.
