This month, we're looking ahead to Summer Activities – a busy season for many churches...
With the arrival of summer, many churches will be having special activities, events and weekends away. Take time with your teams to ensure you have your risk assessments in place, you have considered any safeguarding aspects regarding these 'out of routine' activities, and that you have updated your insurance company so that appropriate cover is in place for these events/trips.
If you need extra support, remember to refer to your safeguarding team, alongside organisations such as Thirtyone:eight (or if CofE, your Diocesan Safeguarding Team). Your insurance company can be a great source of support too and head over to the Ecclesiastical Insurance website HERE and HERE for free templates and guidance.
